Hip Hip Hooray to be teaching again!

... and we start next week! It has been lovely to hear the buzz of conversation in our cafe again and we are so excited the same will soon be happening upstairs in our teaching space. For those of you who haven’t been there, it is a spacious room flooded with natural light. It’s pretty big, meaning we are able to set out work tables so there is more than two metres between each person and there are multiple windows to ensure there is plenty of air changing going on. We have a maximum class size of 6 so you can be confident you will have the attention of your tutor and a comfortably spacious work area.

Isn’t it strange how we have all become used to these measures and how we are all pretty good at them now?! Even when they were ‘new’ new we were able to adapt our craft workshops so everyone had a great time and went home brandishing their item with hearts swelling with pride.

Here are some images and words from some of the courses we were able to run last Autumn. To book yourself a workshop this summer see the full course listings here. You will notice some of the courses are fully booked so be quick!

It was a brilliant afternoon, thank you, I will be there Saturday again.

Thanks very much for the stained glass heart workshop on Saturday. It was a fab day and just flew by. We all felt safe in the socially distanced set up and Bean was so patient and calm in teaching us complete novices how to get started. It was really satisfying to bring home a completed if not perfect heart. I was in the flow of being engrossed all day and am looking forward to doing another course soon. Thanks very much for getting the sessions started again.

I love my purse and have learned new skills. It was a relaxed and informative day And great to meet the other sewers. Harriett was very calm and supportive and gave us all confidence. Lunch was delicious and the coffee’s very warming. A thoroughly enjoyable day. I’ll be back when I can.

I had another lovely day yesterday, really enjoying the workshop and meeting the other students in a socially distanced and safe way. Suzi is very inspiring and it was great to learn some basic stitches and see what can be done with these. I have actually already booked my next workshop with you – the porcelain mugs. I seem to have developed an addiction!

I enjoyed it very much and it’s a nice feeling to leave holding something I crafted myself.
